This was the first of our two recordings of a popular performer from the Chicago area (he now lives in Peru -- Illinois, that is!) who could be described as the quintessential American folksinger. Our second recording of him (On the Wilderness Road) may be found in our "Custom Cassettes" listing. Most of Art's songs are drawn from tradition, with a few more recent ones, including a couple of his own, just to keep us all in touch with current events.
