This is the debut recording of a new group from New England. Formed in September of 1998, "All Hands Around" features Roger Burridge on fiddle, Dave Paton on concertina, and Michael Shorrock on bouzouki and guitar, with vocals by Deirdre Murtha.
Their music is predominantly Irish, with a few pleasant surprises, including some tunes from Britanny featuring Dave on hammered dulcimer, and even some originals in the traditional style by Roger and Dave. Deirdre's lovely voice and Michael's rollicking accompaniments compliment the fiddle and concertina beautifully, creating a well-rounded program that is a must for all lovers of Celtic music.
